Questions and answers
How does it work?
Lay the clear panel on the page you're reading and press the power button on the base. The panel lights up and you read right through it. Tap the color button to switch between white, neutral and warm light, and hold the power button to dim it.
Does it fit paperbacks and hardcovers?
The panel is about 7.3 by 6 inches (18.5 by 15.3 cm). That covers a standard paperback page. On larger hardcovers it lights most of the page, so slide it down as you read.
Does it keep a partner awake?
It puts the light on your page instead of the ceiling, so the room stays much darker than with a lamp. A little light shows at the edges, so if someone is sleeping close by, turn it down to the lowest setting.
How does charging work?
It has a 1200mAh rechargeable battery and charges with the USB cable in the box. How long a charge lasts depends on the brightness you use.
Does the panel scratch?
Like any clear acrylic, it can pick up scratches and fingerprints. Wipe it with the cleaning cloth that comes in the box, and stand it on its base when you're not reading so the panel doesn't rub against other things.
What about turning pages?
Lift the panel, turn the page, and lay it back down. It only takes a second and works with one hand.
